All riders, spectators, volunteers, and media must sign the release at the gate. All riders will also be required to sign again at sign-up.
Any minor that is participating must have both parents present at sign-up to sign the minor release as well, unless a parent has sole custody. Parent(‘s) must be present at all times during the race.
Proof of age must be available at each event for every racer.
Rider’s must be of the correct size and responsible enough to control their machine during events. If JXC staff feels like they cannot do so the rider will be disqualified with a full refund of race entry.
Every rider must be able to reach all of the controls comfortably. (Ex. brake/clutch levers, throttle control, foot pegs, and ground for dirt bikes)
If JXC staff feels that any rider is unsafe on the course they will be asked to leave the track and will receive a refund. SAFETY COMES FIRST!!
All Riders must come to a complete stop at scoring. It is the rider’s responsibility to make sure his or her number is visible for scoring.
Unless otherwise instructed at the riders meeting, riders must not ride more than 20 feet from the course marking arrows. If 2 arrows are positioned on each side of the route, riders must remain between the arrows.
Overall scoring is based on elapsed time from start to finish, with all eligible riders competing at the same time on the same course. A rider’s finishing time is recorded to the nearest second.
All riders must be wearing motorcycle or ATV boots and a helmet that is less than 5 years old and DOT approved at all times when on the course. Other protective riding gear is strongly encouraged.
If a rider at any time feels unsafe on the course or they do not make it off the start they must report to sign-up immediately for a refund and will forfeit Points for that session. Dead engine start with the exception of Vintage/Post Vintage and Micro. Vintage/Post Vintage will be a live engine start with the bike in neutral with clutch hand on their helmet.
Each session will have a duration time posted on printed materials at sign-up. We reserve the right to change this at any time due to course conditions and weather. It is our full intention to follow what is posted but we also need to keep all riders safe at all times.
Sign up will close 15 minutes before the session is scheduled to start.
Riders must bring Helmet to sign up each time and fully complete the sign-up card for each race.
Each rider will be required to purchase a mototally barcode ($10) for scoring if they do not already have one. If they have one already it will be checked at signup to ensure it is in proper working order.
It is the riders responsibility to make sure the results are correct during the 30 minute protest period. After the protest period is over corrections ABSOLUTELY will not be made.
Age classes will be determined as of January 1st.
A racer may not drop a skill level without first getting approval from JXC staff, but may bump up a level at any time. Example: If you ride Pro or A at any point you may not drop to B without approval.
Team race does not qualify for Advancement. Example: If you are a B rider and ride with an A rider in the team race you must enter an A class. This does not make you an A rider, you will still compete in the B classes for all other races.
All spectators must remain a minimum of 20 feet off the track at all times during events. Spectators need to remain behind any fencing/ribboning that is in place. Failure to do so will result in being removed from event premises.
If a rider misses/cuts any part of the course, the rider will be docked 1 lap. If staff determines the cut was deliberate the rider will be disqualified from the event.
If the track is blocked due to bottle neck/injured rider, the racer may go 20 feet from the marked course to get around the blocked area and return to the marked course ASAP when it's safe to do so.
Once a race has started, if there is an injured rider/spectator on the course, JXC staff has the right to red flag the race at any point to make it safe to reach the injured person. If 1 lap has not been completed the race will be restarted once track is clear and it's safe to do so. If a lap has been completed the track may be rerouted if possible. If this is not possible, the race will be called at this time and considered completed.
